Functional description
The water passes through the air pocket in the upper part of the filter, with iron and manganese being precipitated as particles and filtered out. The upper layer of the filter bed neutralises the carbonic acid (CO2) and raises the pH value.
The process is repeated using the filter’s circulation pump via the return line from the pressure tank, and multi-filtered water is obtained. This has the advantage that large amounts of iron and manganese can be filtered out via the slow flow of the circulation. Once the filter bed is saturated, the filter is backwashed in the opposite direction.
Once backwashing is complete, the system enters filtration mode via the automation.
