Combination filter
AQUAMIX
Aquamix resolves several water problems by
combining filter media that handle
both anions and cations.
In its basic version, Aquamix reduces elevated levels of the following substances:
Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Water hardness (Ca, Mg), Carbonic acid (CO2) and Ammonium (NH4).
The choice of anion-based materials contributes to the remediation of a wide range of substances, such as: Humus, Nitrate or Uranium.
Free of chemical additives.

Functional description
The water first passes through a layer of anion-exchange medium that replaces the humic acids by chloride ions. Then the water passes through a filter medium made of synthetic zeolite, which is much more durable than traditional cation exchangers.
Once both materials are saturated, they are regenerated using a saline solution.
The combined filter media can be cleaned using an alkaline fluid that reconditions the materials, giving them a very long service life (10–15 years).
