Functional description
When water passes through the air injector, oxygen-rich air is drawn in which, in combination with catalytically oxidising filter media, precipitates iron and manganese as solid particles and is filtered. The upper layer of the filter bed neutralises the carbonic acid (CO2) and raises the pH value.
Once the filter bed is saturated, it is backwashed in the opposite direction. Because of the air mixture from the injector, only a limited amount of water is required to meet the relevant wastewater standard.
Once backwashing is complete, the system enters filtration mode via the automation.
